iPup - IPTC

In 2010, International Puppy and Trainer Conference was retired.  Below is a bit of the history of the IPTC.

IPTC History, by Pup Cosmo

IPTC BEGAN IN HOUSTON AS THE INTERNATIONAL PUPPY CONTEST (IPC) IN 2001 BY FOUNDER, PATRICK CHEES, AKA NIPPER. IT WAS HIS VISION THAT THERE WOULD BE AN EVENT THAT WOULD HELP GET PEOPLE TOGETHER WHO ARE INTO THE PUP HEADSPACE.

THE FIRST IPC TOOK PLACE IN HOUSTON IN 2001 AND ALPHA PUP RAY WAS NAMED THE INTERNATIONAL PUPPY 2001.

IN 2002, PUP TIM TOOK INTERNATIONAL PUPPY '02 WITH HIS SEXY LOOK AND OUTSTANDING STYLE. HIS TRAINER, MASTER SKIP, AND HE HAD THEIR EVERY MOVE WELL EXECUTED. MASTER SKIP'S HANDLING OF HIS PUP SHOWED THAT TRAINERS SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED AS WELL.  PATRICK KNEW THAT THE COURSE OF THIS CONTEST HAD CHANGED: THAT THE CONTEST FROM THIS POINT ON, WOULD BE THE INTERNATIONAL PUPPY & TRAINER CONTEST.

IN 2003, IPTC MOVED TO DALLAS WITH SEAN-MICHAEL AS INTERNATIONAL TRAINER '03 AND PATCH AS INTERNATIONAL PUP '03.  IN 2004, MISTRESS SIMONE BECAME INTERNATIONAL TRAINER '04 AND PUP FIFI TOOK INTERNATIONAL PUPPY '04.  BY THE END OF THE YEAR, PATRICK HAD PASSED AWAY LEAVING THE FATE OF IPTC UNKNOWN.

Teeter Totter-a-Thon

The support this event has received in years past has made a difference in the lives of these children. It cannot be said enough...the children are our future and Bryan's House prepares its children to become members and contributors to the community.

History

One legacy boy patrick brought to the community in Houston in 2004 was that of Teeter-Totter-a-Thon.  This was a new concept of fundraising were folks would donate and garner pledge money to ride the teeter-totter for a set time limit.  The key to the event was to make sure it was done somewhere with wide public exposure and interaction.  The goal was to have the teeter-totter ridden non-stop for 24 hours.  This event met with much success in Houston.  His vision was that the unusual fundraising concept would be a great way for the community to have fun while helping those who needed it most.  Patrick planted the seed of bringing the event to Dallas with slave kiki.  Slave kiki marshaled support from members of NLA: Dallas, the Texas Leather Tribe, and many local volunteers to bring the idea to fruition in Dallas in 2005.    For the past few years, the Teeter-Totter-a-Thon has been hosted at NLA: Dallas’ Beyond Vanilla showcase weekend.
